Thank you for visiting Mrs. Gebhardt's webpage. I am so excited to begin another wonderful school year. I love science and I can't wait to bring that love to your student. This is my 14th year at Carmel and I have loved every minute of it. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I received my teaching certification from Queens University in Charlotte. I am married and I have two beautiful children. My son Austin is 10 and my daughter Emma Grace is 7. They are the light of my life. I look forward to another exciting school year.
I have created this webpage as a way to help students. Parents, of course, can view this as well. This webpage will contain information that is relevant to our class this year and will prove to be a wonderful resource.
We will have a lot of fun this year. Below I have listed all of the units that will be covered this school year. Students need to expect a comprehensive EOG at the end of the year. This test will count. So it is in the best interest of students to do really well on this test. In order for that to occur, they need to really stay on top of the material. Your student is in 8th grade and with that comes higher expectations, increased workload and an increase in personal responsibility and accountability. We are team working to prepare these young adults for high school.
